Michael Taus is the Managing Director of Magnolia Ventures, a venture consultancy focused on building early-stage technology companies with business development, financing and market strategy.

Since 1996, Michael has been starting and managing rapid-growth technology businesses with an emphasis on Internet, Telecom, wireless and software ventures. In 1999, he was a co-Founder, VP, Business Development and General Counsel of Rent.com (acquired by eBay). Michael has participated in the founding, development and management of seven (7) early-stage technology companies, including VP, executive management and board positions. He has maintained a broad range of professional responsibilities including strategic planning, finance, operations, marketing and corporate governance. His experience includes numerous equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property licensing and other commercial transactions.
