QCOM Beats; Here Comes 3G CDMA

Qualcomm (QCOM) reported strong profits and positive guidance. QCOM's announcement provides clear indication that Verizon's recently rolled out 3G services and Sprint's upcoming services will be well received in the enterprise and soonthereafter by consumers. Look for high-bandwidth mobile application investments with clear need-oriented solutions. Applications could include highly-customizable navigation, asset monitoring, medical devices and mobile entertainment/gaming.
